Trader’s Crossing LARP 9/30/2012 in Round Rock Texas!
In which The Lady Gloriosalily of the House Milatomos lead her men on a quest to retrieve the bones of a saint.
We battled long and hard but returned triumphant! The Lady was granted the title of Baronness for her troubles, and now hopes that this holy relic will protect the town from evil.
That’s me, int he blond wigs. I’m the reigning noble of Trader’s Crossing, a roleplay heavy LARP using the Mystic Crossroads system. Here you can see I had my a big costume change as my nobilty and title where increased after the mission! Also, Robert the bard (The big guy with the glasses and the muppet) who is Gloriosalily’s adviser and herald, was given a gift of that fine teal tunic and some secret poisoned flowers. “May you always have a way out.” The gave said she whens he gave it to him.
In the black top and green Bodice (next to me in the bottom picture) is ArgentLight, a fellow inhabitant of the Tumblrverse! She took all the battle photos above too!
We have a really great time! I can’t wait for next months games! <3
LARP costume even closer to being done.
45 buttons holes later it looks exactly like the drawing I made when I designed it!
This is my new costume for the Baroness Gloriosalily Jessica of the House Milatomos.
I drafted all of the patterns myself for the jacket, skirt and shirt. There are still a few finishing touches that need to be made.
Seriously though, check out the lacing on the inside of the sleeve. It was a pain in the ASS, but man dose it look cool! <3 I also crochet all my cording myself from rough spun wool for an authentic feeling.
Hair hair is rough cut on purpose, at the end of the next event, when this outfit will be debuted, Gloriosalily will have ‘cut’ her long golden locks off with her sword.
Also I couldn’t find my boots, so have a Barefoot Baroness
The crests on the sleeves! Those came from UrbanThreads.com! I HIGHLY suggest them, they have the best embroidery patterns on the internet!
The Circlet was made by Wynddragon’s Treasures! If you’re need a circlet for anything, check her out, really great selection, really good prices too!
My newest #LARP costume, A Celestine Noble named Lady Gloriosalily (hehe used my WoW screen name) Made entirely from left over fabric that was given to me for free from a friends mother.
